Founded in 2002 and winner of the Regione Lombardia "2002 Prize for best innovative start-up", Opto Engineering designs and produces optical systems for imaging, sensors, metrology, lighting and laser; Opto Engineering is with no doubt one of the most innovative Italian companies and is the preferential partner of all the major Italian companies involved in the development of optoelectronic machines, equipment and components.
Bi-Telecentric
Telecentric lenses are mandatory to develop imaging systems for dimensional measurement. Among the most important features peculiar to TELECENTRIC lenses, making them radically different from common MACRO lens:
NO PARALLAX error: the lens captures only the image of surfaces that are orthogonal to the main optical axis.
NO CHANGE OF MAGNIFICATION within the depth of field: moving back and forth the object from the best focus distance, the object's image size doesn't change
INCREASED DEPTH OF FIELD: in comparison with a common macro lens with the same working F/# and magnification, a telecentric lens exhibits a larger depth of focus.
Entocentric
Entocentric lenses are designed to enhance perspective, i.e. close objects appear larger than distant objects. They are not usually suitable for precise measurement work, but may be used for assembly verification and similar QA tasks.
360° View Optics
Each product in this range has its own specialist application which includes enabling:
a one-camera-shot, 3D peripheral capture of objects without the aid of mirrors
high-resolution imaging of objects with diameters as small as 7mm
perfect viewing of holed objects, cavities and containers by providing more than the usual flat-field-of-view
the provision of the combined view of both internal and external surfaces of an object image
3D measuring and inspection of very small objects such as electronic complents, solder paste and micromechanics.
